How we started
Hammerhead Boatworks, Inc. began as a professional boat detailing company in Virginia Beach. VA, owned and operated by Kim & Rob Amos. We have over 10 years' experience in detailing and 25 years of boat ownership. With the frustrating task of trying to find products that actually performed the way they claimed, we decided to create our own. We sought out a world-renowned chemist and over a 3-year period, we achieved the results we were looking for (and then some). Our products are designed with the user in mind. Ease of use, excellent results, and multi-tasking capabilities were our main criteria. We have now raised the bar on boat maintenance products. We unveiled our products at the 2003 MAATS show in Las Vegas. We presented them to the "racing world" at the 2003 SBI National and World Championships in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The results were astonishing. We were able to show the teams an easier way to achieve better results than they were getting "the hard way". We are so confident in our products that we will continually match them against those our customers are currently using; specifically, our Waxing Frenzy! It is 4-5 years ahead of any other wax on the market and we welcome every opportunity to put it to the test! Just try it and you'll understand how we can make such bold statements with confidence. Safety is another major concern. You'll be amazed at how gentle these products are, while still maintaining the integrity and durability we need in boat maintenance. All of our products are non-toxic and as close to biodegradeable as possible without compromising their tasks. Even our degreasers are 100% biodegradeable... you can soak your hands in them!
